Emphasis on the coherence of actions and transforming the Minab event into a medium for narrating the oppression of children

In a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the Governor of Hormozgan, the necessity of integrating programs related to Minab was emphasized. In this meeting, it was announced that the bitter event of this city will be transformed into a media for the narration of the oppression of children with a national and coordinated approach, and the process of urban regeneration and rereading of collective memory will be pursued in an integrated manner with the synergy of responsible institutions and social capacities.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company, during the visit of Abdolreza Golpayegani, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and CEO of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company to Hormozgan Province, a meeting was held with Mohammad Ashouri Taziani, Governor of Hormozgan, in Minab.

In this meeting, Golpayegani pointed out the need to coordinate actions and enhance synergy between institutions and stated: Creating coherence and integrity in the Minab event is very important. The Minab event should become a medium to convey the oppression of the Iranian people and the children of Minab.

He added: The main owners of the narratives that should emerge from Minab are, first and foremost, the families of the martyrs, the people of Minab, the people of Hormozgan, and the people of Iran, and then all the freedom-loving people of the world. If we can establish this connection and do something on an international scale—whether where something is to be designed and a place is to be formed in terms of architecture and urban development, or where a narrative is to be conveyed, and even the trends that can be formed on this media scale, if it is done in a coordinated and integrated manner, its impact will definitely be greater on a local, national, and international scale.

The CEO of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company also stated that the purpose of holding this meeting was to coordinate with the Governor of Hormozgan and receive his views as a field commander at the provincial level, and said: The purpose of this meeting was mainly to coordinate with the Governor and receive his views as a field commander, which fortunately was a good meeting.

Continuing this meeting, Golpayegani, referring to the follow-ups carried out at the national level, said: The main purpose of my trip to Bandar Abbas and Minab was to follow up on the fulfillment of a request letter that was written by Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, to the First Vice President; A letter regarding the formation of a joint working group between all institutions that operate in the field related to Minab.

He said: It has been proposed that this working group be formed by the secretariat of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company or the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and the letter has been referred to the government's Cultural and Social Commission and has been reviewed by this commission, which almost the majority of members agreed with and asked us to prepare a text to be sent next week and, after approval, the next steps will be taken.

He considered the purpose of this measure to prevent parallel work and dispersion of activities and said: Currently, various agencies are trying to help Minab, each compassionately and with the motivation to perform their inherent and moral duty. The goal is for these efforts to proceed in a coordinated manner so that the energy of the institutions is not neutralized and all measures are on a synergistic path.

Golpayegani emphasized that this coordination is not limited to national and provincial institutions and should also include a wide range of social capacities. According to him, social groups, civil and non-governmental organizations, associations, artists and all interested parties who want to pay their respects to the oppressed martyrs of Minab can play a role in this process.

Referring to the need for coordination with the senior management of the province, he added: This process required coordination with the governor as the field commander of operations on a provincial scale. Given the serious and continuous efforts of the respected governor in this regard, receiving his views and opinions was very helpful.

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development continued to explain: There have also been views on the name and structure of this mechanism. Some refer to it as the "Minab Reconstruction Headquarters" and from another perspective, it can be called the "Minab Leadership Secretariat". Considering the structure of the National Reconstruction Headquarters that operates in the provinces under the chairmanship of the governor, a similar mechanism can be considered along the same structure to follow up on issues related to Minab.

Golpayegani said: "In addition to the Minab issue, discussions were also held with the governor about the area of urban regeneration in Hormozgan province, especially the cities of Minab and Bandar Abbas. In this regard, we also held meetings with several investors to use the investment capacity in the projects that the Regeneration Company has in Hormozgan province and to form partnership projects. The goal is to use the benefits of these partnerships to regenerate inefficient urban neighborhoods in the province, especially in the city of Minab. It was also decided during this trip that some executive and operational measures would be put on the agenda urgently, including measures to reopen some passages and improve the condition of urban passages and routes."
