The start of the football tournament in the suburbs of Zahedan in memory of the martyrs of the Shajare Tayyiba Minab School and the martyrs of the Ramadan War
According to the report of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company, Majid Rousta, a member of the board of directors of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company, stated at the opening ceremony of the Neighborhood Cup football tournament, which was held under the title of commemoration of the martyrs of the Shajre Tayyiba School and the martyrs of the Ramadan War, and was attended by the Director General of Roads and Urban Development of Sistan and Baluchestan, the provincial police commander, the governor of Zahedan, the director general of the Martyr and Veterans Affairs Foundation, and members of the Islamic Council of Zahedan City: "Paying attention to underprivileged neighborhoods and the outskirts of cities is one of the main axes of urban regeneration policies in the country, and in the meantime, cultural, social, and sports programs can play an effective role in improving the quality of life of the residents of these neighborhoods." He pointed out that young people are the main assets of every society and added: "Creating suitable platforms for sports activities in marginal neighborhoods, in addition to increasing social vitality, provides the basis for identifying sports talents and directing the energy of young people towards healthy and constructive activities." A member of the board of directors of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company considered the Neighborhood Cup competitions to be one of the effective tools for strengthening social ties in neighborhoods and said: In addition to creating healthy competition, such events help increase interaction and empathy among neighborhood residents and can play an important role in reducing social harms and strengthening the sense of social belonging among young people.
The village continued by emphasizing the importance of synergy between executive agencies to achieve urban regeneration goals: Holding these competitions in cooperation with the General Department of Roads and Urban Development of Sistan and Baluchestan and the Municipality of Zahedan shows the high capacity of cooperation between different institutions to implement social programs in the target neighborhoods of urban regeneration.
He noted: In this competition, 39 teams from different neighborhoods on the outskirts of Zahedan will compete with each other for a month, which indicates the widespread acceptance and participation of young people in these areas in sports and social activities.
The board member of the Iranian Urban Regeneration Company also mentioned the naming of this sports event in memory of the martyrs of the Shajre Tayyiba School and the martyrs of the Ramadan War, and said: Keeping the memory of the martyrs alive and transmitting the values of sacrifice and dedication to the younger generation are among the important goals of holding such programs, and they can play an effective role in strengthening the cultural and social identity of the society. The village finally expressed its hope that by continuing such programs and expanding sports and cultural activities in the target neighborhoods of urban regeneration, the ground will be provided for promoting social vitality, increasing public participation, and flourishing the talents of young people in underprivileged areas.
